I saw this in the GRIT magazine this morning.
It helps put everything into perspective for me.

Design Wall
I spent the summer creating Rust Dyed Fabrics.
A week before Dancer left us I began to design this portrait quilt of him as an entry for the Rust-Tex Challenge.
It has been up on the design wall, which made it difficult for me to go into the Thread Shed.

Photo Transfer onto Rusted Muslin Fabric
I plan to weave strips of rust dyed fabrics as an inner border around this image transfer.
Depending on how the design work goes, I also have rust fabric made with Dancer's horse shoes, as well as rusty star images, some rusted rebar that may make a good framed border treatment, and some of Dancer's mane hair.

Monday I will spend the day sewing with my local quilt group, Harlan Valley Quilters.
May I never miss a sunset or a rainbow because I am looking down,
LuAnn
