" Life's Doorways"
15 x 15 inches
This is complete and ready to be included in an exhibit of journal quilts at our local hospital, created by our Permission 2 Play Textile Group.

The doorknob plate and drawer pull were found at a local salvage business.
The black wooden star was found at a thrift store.
The paper images came from my stash, which is mostly books from second hand stores.

Jeans Thread was used to create a heavy stitched line across the surface.
It free motion quilted perfectly with a 100/16 Topstitch Needle

Button & Carpet Thread was used to hand sew the 3-D objects.
A very heavy thread and it will hold everything in place.

Back of Quilt
A quick fast-fused label was also added to the back.
Next week I will gather up quilts from all of the Permission 2 Play Members for the exhibit. I will post them here so you can see all of them together as a virtual quilt exhibit.
