~Glam Slam Of The Week: This One May Surprise You...~

"It is the public scandal that offends; to sin in secret is no sin at all."
-Moliere

This "Glam Slam Of The Week" may surprise you... The honor goes to Mrs. Leann Rimes Cibrian!! Yeah, I said it. The new bride looked stunning at her beach-side wedding to Eddie Cibrian this past weekend and at their brunch celebration the following day. I have to admit... I am far from a country music fan and never will be. However, after the "scandal" (I'm not elaborating, we all know what happened) Leann was quite obviously in the news a lot and I started to notice a few things...
  • 1) She freely admits that she regrets how she came to find love with Cibrian but is in fact in love with him and vice versa. She isn't hiding. I admire that. She admits her mistakes and that people got hurt but if loving him is wrong...she don't wanna be right!! And for the record...again...I admire that.

  • 2) Her style transformation. The woman has gone from "cute high end mall chick" to "couture chic". Have you ever peeped her shoe game?! To die for... This girl can rock a six inch heel with the best of em. She went from cute child star to sexy singer actress.... I like to call that particular transformation "from pigtails to perfume". And as cliche as it sounds she has been glowing since they've been together. She has definitely crossed over to "Glamour Whore" status. And I welcome her...and her shoe collection.
Anyway... I saw all the media bashing this week and decided... ENOUGH!! There are scandals EVERYWHERE!! So why are people still targeting and insulting this woman?! My own closet holds the bones of a multitude of scandalous skeletons. This one ended happily...they made it work. Can you say the same about your indiscretions?! Be happy for them or shut up already. The only thing I'm here to judge is fashion and beauty...because it's literally my job. And in my judgment Mrs.Cibrian looked stunning for her wedding weekend and it deserves to be acknowledged.

The Wedding:

People magazine (the issue with entire story and more photos will on newsstands Friday) released the official wedding portrait and it's stunning... Leann wore a glam Reem Acra dress and the groom rocked a "beachy formal" Ermenegildo Zegna tie-less suit that I loved. Her hair, makeup, accessories (stunning earrings!!) and gorgeous bouquet accented the gorgeous gown and created a fab sophisticated wedding look...

The Celebratory Brunch:

I would kill for this Emilio Pucci crocheted dress. The end.

Normally I consider marriage a fate worse than death...and then I see a wedding gown like this.

Elie Saab Spring 2011 Couture:

And my bridesmaids could pick from any of these.... I'm generous like that.

Basically the Elia Saab Spring 2011 Couture Collection is INSANE!! See the whole collection HERE

"Come dress yourself in love, let the journey begin." -Francesca da Rimini

As the whole knows by now Nicole Richie married her longtime love Joel Madden last weekend and photos of the STUNNING Marchesa dress have surfaced via Germany's In Magazine. The dress is AMAZING and in my opinion...perfection. My favorite part of the stunning creation is their names embroidered in the lace sleeve...*sigh* Congrats Mr. and Mrs. Madden...

"If you want to sacrifice the admiration of many men for the criticism of one, go ahead, get married." -Katharine Hepburn

By now I am sure you have me mention my aversion to the sacrament of marriage. I don't want anything to do it with. Not a commitment phobe, I'll happily live in sin with the man I love for as long as I love him...but I'm not signing any paperwork. HOWEVER, this dress may make an honest woman out of me...

I'm also going to need this coat...I'll most likely have the chills after I realize what I've done...

"An object in possession seldom retains the same charm that it had in pursuit."
~Pliny the Younger

While researching my previous blog post about the fabulous Karlie Kloss. I came upon something I never thought I'd see...a wedding veil I actually wanted to wear. I am not a big fan of marriage. At all. To the point that it would probably take being held at gun point to get me to say "I do"...or a spiked wedding veil/headband. I love this look so much that I'm having visions of being walked down the aisle by my papa...the whole time he'll be starring at my head with that "what the hell is she wearing " look on his face of course.

The only problem is...well...the very thing that got me down the aisle, the gorgeous spiked headband/veil, will undoubtedly be the "murder weapon" in less than a year. I have no patience for a full-time husband. Seriously. And although divorce is not an option in my family...there's no shame in being a widow. Lol..
