Cecilia Ciganer-Albeniz, the recently-divorced second wife of French President Nicolas Sarkozy, will marry her long-time lover Richard Attias in New York. According to Point de Vue magazine, the wedding ceremony will take place on March 22.
"Versace is delighted to announce that Cecilia Ciganer-Albeniz and Richard Attias have chosen to be dressed by Versace for the happy occasion of their wedding, which will take place in New York later this month," said in a statement from the Italian fashion house Versace which will design the wedding outfits for Cecilia and Attias.
Cecilia Ciganer-Albeniz had once left the then Internal Affairs Minister Nicolas Sarkozy in May 2005 to live with Moroccan-born PR man Richard Attias, before returning to Sarkozy's side in the run-up of French presidential election in May, 2007. Still, in October, Cecilia and Sarkozy, since got divorced. This February, Nicolas Sarkozy remarried to Italia-born model-turned singer Carla Bruni at the Elysee Palace in Paris.
