Sex and the City’s actress Cynthia Nixon seldom publicly talked about her long time lesbian relationship with the New York state education activist Christine Marinoni. But recently Cynthia Nixon has opened up about gay relationship during the promotional tour for the May 30 release of the new Sex and the City movie. Ok Magazine reported:
The usually tight-lipped Cynthia Nixon opened up about her four-year relationship with Christine Marinoni, a New York state education activist.
The SATC star told reporters, "I'm in a fantastic relationship," she continued, "We shop and cook and raise children...We both pitch in." Much like in SATC, Cynthia and her partner raise her two kids, Samantha, 11, and Charles, 6, in Brooklyn.
"I'm in love with her because she's her. If she were a man, would I be in love with her? I don't know."
P.S. Cythia Nixon has two children from a relationship with Danny Mozes. Mozes had been the boyfriend of Cythia Nixon for 15 years. The couple split in 2003.
Update: Now Cynthia Nixon wants to take her relationship with Christine Marinoni to the next level by marrying her.
Update: Cynthia Nixon and Christine Marinoni were engaged in April, 2009. Nixon and Marinoni will marry once the same-sex marriage bill is passed in New York.
