On May 18th 2011 Christie's auction house is auctioning off a 56.12-carat, unmounted, heart shaped, D colour, internally flawless diamond in Geneva and is expected to sell for 9 to 12 million dollars. This particular diamond is in the elite Type IIA category of diamonds confirming it as exceptionally white. So basically it's perfect. Start saving now fellas...

I have never ever been to a auction. Never. I've been tempted a few times but it all just seemed like too much work... Seriously...it just seemed easier to walk into Barney's, pick out something fabulous, pay for it and go to lunch.

However, come September I will be off to auction...



Isabella Blow, fashion icon and McQueen muse, who tragically died a few years ago had an INSANE wardrobe. Quite possibly the best wardrobe on the planet. And it's going to auction. And so am I. How can I resist?! Rumored to be auctioned off: Over 90 of McQueen’s designs, 50 Philip Treacy hats, and a number of Manolo Blahnik shoes. <~OMG!! The auction will take place in London on September 15th. I am sooooooo there.

CRYSTALLIZED™ - Swarovski Elements commissioned 22 designers about a year ago and asked them to design a black dress. Create a black dress is probably more accurate, as these dresses are pieces of art in my opinion. The occasion? An auction to benefit the American Cancer Society and La ligue nationale contre le cancer in France this coming fall. The dresses were unveiled in France on the 27th of January and were on display on the 28th at the Palazzo Pozzo di Borgo...and they are beautiful. The September 2010 auction will held at Phillips de Pury & Co., in New York. ALL proceeds will go to American Cancer Society and La ligue nationale contre le cancer as well as the proceeds from the book "CRYSTALLIZED™ Ways To Say Black"
