Stargazing | How Maria Shriver found out; Jessica Simpson’s new gig

                                                     How Maria found out
The new issue of Hello! Magazine in the UK has the story of how Arnold Schwarzenegger’s former housekeeper and baby mama broke the news to her son and to Arnold’s wife, MariaShriver.
When the son found out the identity of his biological father, he said simply: “Cool!”
And it turns out that Maria was among the many people who noticed how much the young teen looked like Arnold when the housekeeper started bringing him around the home last year.
“Maria would ask if I needed to talk to her, and I kept saying no. Finally, she asked point blank. Maria asked me directly if Joseph was Arnold’s son, and I just broke down. I dropped to my knees, and I was crying, saying that yes he was, and I was so sorry,” the housekeeper says.
“She cried with me and told me to get off my knees. Since I was retiring soon, I said I would pack and leave right away, but she said to stay until after the holidays.”
Of her former boss and baby daddy, the housekeeper says, “He’s a good man, and I know he’s suffering, too. He loves Maria. I hope with time they work things out.”
Jessica’s new gig
Jessica Simpson plans to mentor young people who want to be just like her — you know, a fashion mogul.
She’ll be part of NBC’s new reality show “Fashion Star,” hosted by Elle McPherson. Contestants will compete for a multimillion-dollar contract to launch their own fashion brand, but with a few un-“Project Runway” twists along the way.
For one thing, each week’s winning design, from lingerie to accessories, will be immediately available for purchase online. NBC promises the show will be a “spectacle,” with music and dancers and models, oh my.
Make it work, Jessica.
Real wackos?
A Chicago family is suing “The Real Housewives of New Jersey” for alleged bad behavior in the Caribbean back in February.
Yolanda Martinez and some of her relatives filed the lawsuit this week in New York accusing “Housewife” Teresa Guidice of spraying champagne in Martinez’s face and Teresa and others on the show of beating up two of Martinez’s family members in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic.
The lawsuit says Martinez’s son-in-law, Adolfo Arreola, and cousin Jason Gomez quickly signed $25,000 settlements that also covered as much as $12,000 in medical expenses.
Bravo, home of the show, declined to comment.
J-Lo does a marathon
Here’s something different to do over the Fourth of July weekend: Tune in to HSN, where Jennifer Lopez will sell her new eau de toilette, Love and Light, during an eight-hour appearance. Eight hours!
And, what could she possibly talk about for that long, other than the “sparkling floral, woody” notes of her fragrance, which won’t hit stores until September? She’s expected to share a lot of personal stories, and hopefully she’ll show more pics of those impossibly adorable twins.
‘Knight’ bags one more
Josh Stewart, formerly of NBC’s “Third Watch” and ABC’s “No Ordinary Family,” has joined the ever-growing cast of Christopher Nolan’s “The Dark Knight Rises.”
Stewart will work with Christian Bale (Bruce Wayne/Batman), Anne Hathaway (Catwoman), Tom HardyMarion Cotillard, Gary Oldman (Commissioner Gordon), Morgan Freeman, Michael Caine (Alfred) and Joseph Gordon-Levitt.
Stewart is expected to be the last cast addition; filming is under way.
When Lisa Gutierrez isn’t making a note to herself to never hire a housekeeper, she’s Stargazing among published reports of celebrity news.
